This is a review. A review of Salad Fingers. Biotch! It's a mothafuckin' series of short animations between 2 and 10 minutes long about... Well... It's about Salad Fingers. There's not really a whole lot I can explain there. It's created in 2004 by David Firth, a British cartoonist, filmmaker, and musician, using the baller life software known across the land as Adobe Flash. It's available to view on youtube, and it goes ham.
I enjoy this series because it separates itself greatly from the heap of shitty web animations intended to be creepy. How does it do this? BY ACTUALLY BEING A FUCKING GOOD AND INTERESTING SERIES WITH SOME GAHD DAYUM SUBSTANCE AND MEANING TO IT OTHER THAN BLOOD AND GUTS AND HYPERREALISTIC EYES! AHHHHHHHHH!!! SOOO SPOOOOOOOOOKY!!!!!!!!! It features a combination of dark humor, disturbing imagery, and themes based around mental illness, isolation, and depression. When you watch this, you'll actually take something out of it instead of just feeling uncomfortable for a few minutes.
If you don't mind a bit of weird and gross shit here and there, then watch this. It's far more worth your time than most videos on the internet. Go ham!
Note: I recommend watching the series from the beginning, but I chose to put the newest one on this post
because it has top shelf animation, and more wackier going-ons.
